Tyler Starks is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Mesquite, TX who attends North Mesquite HS. Starks has a medium-athletic frame with room to fill out. As an outfielder he showed a short arm action with good fielding actions and good routes to the ball in the outfield. Quick first step to the ball, good arm strength with accurate throws. As a left handed pitcher he pitched from a side arm angle with a loose arm action and good mound presence. Attacks hitters on the mound, knows how to pitch and mixes pitches well. As a left handed hitter he hit from a crouched stance with a wide base and took his hands to the ball well. Showed some bat speed with the ability to drive the ball gap to gap. Excellent Hitter.
