William Prater is a 2017 2B/SS/RHP with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Dallas, GA who attends East Paulding HS. Long and slender athletic build, projects well physically. Left handed hitter, deep hand load, loose and whippy swing, gets extended well and hits through the ball, some uphill plane for future power projection, pulls the ball hard, has loose wrists, will be interesting to see hit when he weighs 25 more pouinds. 7.19 runner, moves well in the infield and knows how to circle well, good arm strength across the diamond, can soften hands, has the athleticism to play around the field. Also pitched, bouncing delivery, varies his arm slot down to side arm, mixes his arm angles well and with good effect and will fool hitters and get them thinking. Fastball ranged from 70 to 80 mph depending on slot, gets very good movement at times, frisbee slider from low slot and downer curveball both have good spin and depth. Interesting from the mound due to his physical projection and versatility. Good student.
