Ryan Wieligman is a 2015 SS/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Stillwater, OK who attends Stillwater HS. Lean, athletic build with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, quick on feet, moves well to the hole and does a nice job of circling the ball. Effort release but generates nice strength on throws across from a short arm action. Works through the ball well in the outfield and shows similar arm strength with carry and accuracy, gets on top of throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with a spread lower half and a slight wrap at top. Creates extension out front, aggressive approach with quick hands to get barrel through the zone, good torque, creates line drive contact to pull side and flashes pop. Very good student. Named to South Underclass Top Prospect List.
