Damian Serralta is a 2016 SS/OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Miami Lakes, FL who attends American Heritage HS. Medium athletic build, projects well physically, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, shifts into contact well from an open and tall stance, has quick hands and creates bat speed, good lower half use driving his swing, looks to pull and has quick enough hands to turn on the inside pitch, ball comes off the barrel hard when squared, hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.46 runner, arm works very well from third base, throws have carry, charges the ball well and has athletic balance, can continue to improve foot quickness, also can play the outfield. Long and whippy arm action on the mound, easy release, 3/4's arm slot to even lower at times. Fastball up to 83 mph, big sinking action at times, ground ball pitcher, has more velocity in there with additional strength. Sweeping slurve type breaking ball. Good athlete who projects well with the bat and the arm. Good student. Named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
