Tyler Ward is a 2017 1B/OF with a 6-3 189 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Jupiter HS. Ward has a large frame with a projectable build. Defensively he showed solid actions at 1B and moved around the bag well. He can pick the balls in the dirt and he showed some arm strength up to 81 MPH across the diamond. He also worked out from the outfield and he showed solid actions and arm strength up to 84 MPH. At the plate, Ward starts with a tall upright stance with a narrow base. He takes an aggressive hack at the baseball and he has good bat speed. Ward looks to drive the baseball and has big power potential. He creates good back spin on line drives and has strength in his swing. Excellent student, named to Top Prospect Team and List. Verbally committed to the University of Tulane.
