Jonah Harder is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Liverpool, NY who attends Liverpool HS. Tall and slender young frame, especially long legs, projects well physically. Good runner, 4.92 in the forty, moves well to the ball in the outfield, fields the ball out front, can improve lower half use in throwing, developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, rotational upper half swing, tends to stay and spin around his back side, swings hard and creates some bat speed, good barrel skills and makes consistent solid line drive contact. Also pitches, over the top arm action, lands open and pulls his upper body off the plate, short compact arm action, hides the ball effectively in back, tall at release. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, mostly straight, can locate to both sides of the plate. Short breaking curveball with some 11/5 shape, rare change up. Good athlete who can improve especially with better use of his lower half in all actions. Very good student.
