Brandon Chavarria is a 2017 OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Wappingers Falls, NY who attends Roy C Ketcham Senior High School. medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball with short and quick steps, short and quick arm action through the back, athletic actions and moves smoothly, hook in back with arm but comes through it well and gets on top, shows sound carry out of the hand with accuracy to the bag, projects with continued incorporation of lower half. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Weight begins on backside and uses a toe tap trigger for timing at start, hands start tight to body and remain tight through swing. Inside path to the ball, shows ability to get full through the zone with extnesion out front, shows a feel for the barrel and is able to generate carry when squared off the barrel. Good student.
