Connor Barry is a 2018 2B/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Rancho Santa Fe, CA who attends HS. Medium frame with lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Right handed hitter with a spread, straight stance and leg lift trigger. Hands and lower half load to a strong, athletic position. Hands explode to contact on a compact, line drive plane. Shows good balance throughout contact with a mid-field approach. Turns barrel well with present bat speed to drive the baseball through the pull side gap. Timed up and squared baseball well throughout batting practice. Worked out defensively from the infield showing deliberate footwork while surrounding the baeball. Developing glove skills while funneling with clean glove to hand exchanges while working through transition. Throws hand some on line carry with accuracy across the infield topping at 71 mph. Created good first step angles when ranging to each side. Good student. Tools with continue to develop with physical maturity.
