John DeForest is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Brawley, CA who attends Brawley. Long thin build, projectable strength, immature physically with a lot of remaining physical projection. Loose arm action, solid arm speed, projectable arm and already starting to show good velocity for age, fastball tails to the arm side. 11-5 curveball with depth, change to develop into quality second offering, worked in changeup as well. Arm is an asset in the outfield as well, online throws with clean arm action, some carry on throws, mvoves well in the outfield. Long swing, good extension, aggressive hitting approach. Good student.
