Sean Johnson is a 6'1" 176 pound 2007 right handed pitcher and outfielder from Shingle Springs, California who attends Oak Ridge High School. He has a lean athletic build and room for added muscle. He shows good balance and footwork in the outfield and a solid right field arm with his velocity reaching as high as 80 mph during the workout. He shows some projection with his strength potential and arm. Sean hits with an average base and stands tall in the box with his hands held high in front of his face. Once he gains some more strength he should reach a different level offensively to compete at the next level. On the mound, he topped out at 78 mph with fair arm speed. He kept his velocity the same in the stretch as well. Johnson throws a 68 mph curveball with good tight spin and depth to it. He has the ability to throw both pitches for strikes and he can compete when he keeps the ball down in the zone. He has a compact arm action in back with a 3/4 arm slot and some good arm speed out front. Johnson has a good arm to have on a staff and the strength to bring his game to another level if he wants it.
