Kyle Meinhardt is a 2008 RHP/2B with a 5'9'', 155 lb. frame from Dallas, TX, who attends Jesuit College Prep. Meinhardt is a lean and athletic player. On the mound he throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed and arm action. Meinhardt throws slightly across his body, but stays balanced throughout. He goes right after hitters showing pitchability and mound presence. His fastball topped out at 77 mph with arm side life, and he mixed in a 69 mph curveball and a 69 mph changeup. He mixes his pitches well throwing all three for strikes. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance with a slight crouch. He is a lead-off type hitter with a great eye and a short line drive swing plane. Meinhardt has very good bat speed and makes consistent line drive contact. He tracks balls well and will be a high on base percentage player. Defensively he has good actions with nice footwork and good hands. Shows range to his left, and has a quick arm with solid arm strength.
