Cameron McCarty is a 2015 OF/2B with a 5-9 163 lb. frame from Louin, MS who attends Raleigh HS. Smaller athletic build, some present strength. Solid big league average running speed at 6.81/4.29, runs hard and hustles. Right handed hitter, spread stance, simple load and swing mechanics, good contact hitter, shows some hand quickness, line drive swing plane, best contact in batting practice to right centerfield but tended to pull everything in games, should keep improving with additional strength. Good range in the outfield, long loose arm action, some present arm strength but would really move forward with a better front side, also plays second base and shows range and quickness at that position as well. High energy player with some tools to develop. Good student.
