Jake Avery Thomas is a 2017 RHP/C with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Falls HS. Thomas has a medium sized frame with a young lean build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He uses a high arm circle in back and pitches with a good tempo to his delivery. He uses a simple leg lift delivery and is directional to the plate. Thomas has a repeatable delivery and has plus command potential with his delivery. He gets a lot of running action on his fastball and located it well. He threw a curve ball at 66 MPH for strikes with developing shape and spin to it. Thomas also threw a slider that got some cutter type action on it with a small break. He threw a good change up at 74 MPH with good arm speed and action to it. Showed some pitchability and threw a ton of strikes. Excellent student.
