Dax McCleary is a 2016 2B/SS with a 5-11 172 lb. frame from Brazoria, TX who attends Sweeny HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength with more to come. Left handed hitter, polished hitter with sound swing mechanics, bent knee stance with a good gather/load, uses hands well and generates bat speed, aggressive swing, showed the ability to pull the ball hard but can also drive it the other way, balanced approach and understands how to hit. Second base actions and tools, good exchange and makes accurate throws, tends to stay back on balls too much. Offensive tools will carry him. Good student.
