Ben Koch is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Towaco, NJ who attends Montville HS. Big frame with a lean athletic build. Has room to get stronger. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Has a loose and whippy arm action and a very smooth delivery. Solid mechanics. Serious pitchablilty, threw all three pitches for strikes. FB touched 82 mph and had late tailing action. 63 mph CB is 11-5 with good shape and the CH is above average. Does a nice job of maintaining arm speed on off speed. A right handed hitter, showed the ability to sit back on a CH and take the ball the other way in game. Also plays outfield, has good actions and carry on his throws. Ran a 7.06 60 yd dash. Good student.
