Giovanny Ocampo is a 2016 C/ with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Jackson Senior. Medium frame with excellent present build and strength--very strong throughout body. Sets up at bat with wide base and high hand set, keeps it simple with swing mechanics, inconsistent timing but flashes quality feel for the barrel and bat speed. Makes good contact with some developing pop. Quality prospect behind the plate, shows good receiving skills along with excellent vocal leadership and game management skills. Threw as hard as 76 MPH from behind the plate and showed a 1.90 pop time down to 2nd base.
