J.T. Ross is a 2006 left handed pitcher/outfielder from Newton North HS in Newton, Massachusetts, with a tall and lean 6'1"/180 pound frame. On the mound, J.T. throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with long loose arm action and minimal effort. He has a balanced and online delivery with leverage to the plate. Ross throws his fastball at 83 mph and his curveball has 12-6 break with depth at 73 mph. J.T. is a competitor on the mound. As a left handed hitter, he hits from an upright stance with a small stride. He has a line drive swing plane and projectable power. Ross showed long arm actions from the outfield with solid arm strength at 78 mph. Ross is a very good student as well.
