Zack Bowman is a 2016 1B/C, RHP, IF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Aliso Viejo, CA who attends Aliso Niguel HS. Large, athletic build with a strong, broad shouldered build and present strength throughout. Fields the ball out front in the infield, moves well for physicality and gets on top of ball, soft hands that play well at ball, gets on top of throws, quick release, gets on top of throws with strength across. Also pitched, full hands over head delivery with a full arm action through the back coming to a three-quarter arm slot. Some drop and drive to delivery, shows rhythm to delivery and gets on top of fastball with short running life at 81 mph with downhill. Curveball shows depth and has 12-6 shape. Tilting life to slider at 71 mph and shows fade to changeup at 72 mph. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow. Small shift through lower half, stays short to the ball with line drive swing plane through the zone. Starts slightly open and gets closed at contact, solid path, gets to front side early at times, good rotation in swing and creates consistent contact to pull side.
