2013 Atlantic Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Josh Macek is a 2014 OF/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Concord, NC who attends Jay M Robinson. Large, athletic frame with lean build and room to fill out with strength. Ran a 7.18 60 yard dash. Displays solid footwork in the outfield with quick feet allowing him to charge in on balls well. Gets good reads on balls. Shows carry on throws and some present arm strength, which will continue to develop. Right handed batter who works from an upright stance with low hand set and leg lift trigger. Has bat speed and a line drive bat path with lift in swing,resulting in hard line drive contact to pull side. Excellent student.
