Austin Stern is a 2013 C/UT with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Fleetwood, PA who attends Fleetwood High School. He has a medium frame with a strong build with more room to add strength. As a catcher, he stays online and receives well. He has a solid transfer and tight release with a short arm action. His arm is playable right now but did show raw arm strength. During BP, he has a open set up and a leg kick trigger. He displayed a gap to gap approach and showed the ability to pull the ball. Has a solid stroke with strength in his swing, and barreled up consistently in games. Good Student.
