2015 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Ryan Vigue is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Dacula, GA who attends Dacula HS. Large frame, athletic, well-proportioned build with long limbs, has room to fill out. Primary right handed pitcher, graded out slightly higher as a hitting prospect at this event. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Large side step into windup, extended, loose arm-action with good arm speed coming through the path. Fastball up to 85 mph, has solid downhill plane, commands pitch well and can locate to the glove side. Also flashes feel for changeup with running life to the armside, plays well off of fastball. Curveball had 11/5 shape and solid rotation, break. Also worked out in outfield, solid actions and instincts, charges the ball well. Strong throws, up to 87 mph in defensive drills. Left handed hitter, slightly open stance with knee bend. Strength is evident in swing, stays fluid and loose with hands. Slight uphill plane with loft off of the barrel. Looks like a natural, pure hitter. Displayed good pull power and bat speed, has high level hitting tools.
