Aj (Anthony) Labella is a 2016 SS/3B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Jenkintown, PA who attends Chestnut Hill Academy. Medium, athletic frame with room to fill with added strength. Very strong runner, posted a 6.76 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, gathers well and works through the ball nicely, stays low throughout actions, moves feet well, short arm action with strength across, some effort at release. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Upper half swing, nice bat speed, consistent in game contact, generates lift in swing with nice carry off the barrel, quick hands, gets the barrel through the zone well. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
