Joe Maselli is a 2015 SS/RHP with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Bay Shore, NY who attends Brentwood. Small frame, still looks very young. Should get stronger with maturity. Ran a 7.06 60 yard dash, shows athleticism. Shows range up the middle at shortstop, gets rid of the ball quickly and flashes arm strength. Good infield instincts, shows advanced footwork and feel for the position. Right-handed batter, works out of an open stance, shows good barrel accuracy. Opposite field approach, knows what he's doing up there. Holds his hands high, should improve with strength. Also pitched, reached 79 mph on the mound. Throws a lot of strikes, working from a high three quarter arm slot. Has some cutting action. Curveball flashes tight rotation at 72 mph. Excellent student.
