Vazquez is a 5-10, 180 lb third baseman from Puerto Rico with some good present strength and thickness to his frame. He ran the 60 in 7.19 on the slow wet turf during the workouts and threw 75 mph across the infield. He fields the ball cleanly but somewhat slowly and deliberately. Vazquez hits out of a balanced stance with a reverse toe tap trigger and a straight up stance. His strength enables him to hit with some power to the middle of the field and he’d be able drive the ball even batter with more extension in his swing. He can hit and has athletic ability.
