Brock Barger is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-7 250 lb. frame from San Angelo, TX who attends San Angelo Central HS. Extra, extra large build, country strong. Slow paced delivery, stays balanced well, has some energy and effort on release, 3/4's arm slot, works downhill very well. Consistent upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, heavy sink to go with downhill angle, very difficult to lift the ball when down in the zone. Mid 70's curveball has hard spin at times, 11/5 shape with good depth, still developing feel for consistency with curveball release and location but solid second pitch. Did not see change up. Size and arm strength make him very interesting. Very good student.
