2014 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Jeff Hahs is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-4 213 lb. frame from O'Fallon, IL who attends O Fallon HS. Very strong athletic build, young look, projects to get stronger. Simple leg raise delivery, can use his strong hips better in delivery and doesn't always get unrotated in delivery, lack of rotation affects his stuff most from the stretch, bit cross body on release, high and tight 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 87 mph from the windup, mostly straight with good downhill angle and occasional run. Change up was best present off speed pitch, good arm speed and deception, fair curveball spin with occasional depth, short soft slider. Has the tools and strength to improve with mechanical adjustments. Showed potential two-way talent with the bat, upright narrow stance, nice balanced swing mechanics, stays short and direct to the ball, uses lower half well to generate power, quiet approach, flashes very good bat speed when everything comes together.
