Shulby is a big, strong prototype first baseman. If he puts some more strength on his 6-4, 200 lb. frame he’s going to be a real monster down the road. His strength as a prospect is obviously his bat and power potential. He has a good approach at the plate, especially with his hands and upper body and uses his natural leverage and strength well. Shulby uses the whole field well and probably has and will hit a ton of home runs with the metal bat. He’s a 7.74 runner in the 60 who will probably be limited to first base defensively because of his mobility and arm strength. He has a huge upside as a hitter. Wesley is a very good student.
