PG Grade: 7
Trevor Coleman is a 2006 switch hitting catcher from Dripping Springs, Texas, with good overall present strength. From the right side, Coleman hits from a slightly open stance, and generates good bat speed with a short, quick line drive swing. From the left side, Coleman hits from a closed stance with far less bat speed and extension to his swing. He might be costing himself plenty of hits by going away from his natural right side and we really liked him from that side. Defensively, Coleman’s two best tools are his arm strength, which is solid, and his willingness to work hard to block balls. His hands are a bit hard right now but he has some quickness.
