Travis Bice -- Bice is a junior infielder/catcher from Florida. He’s a switch-hitter with a compact, line drive swing from both sides of the plate. His bat speed from the right side looked a bit quicker but he took good game at bats from the left side as well. Bice has the physical ability to be a very good defensive player at several positions with the added versatility of being a switch-hitter. He has the quickness and arm strength to play in the infield, particularly second base, but he looks good behind the plate, too. His slender frame projects to put on some strength, which will just make him a bit better in all areas. Travis looks like he knows how to play the game and he’s a very good student, too.
