2004 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Danforth is a 2006 RHP/1B/3B from Belmont, MA and has a tremendous pitcher's body at 6'6"/215 pounds. He is tall, lanky, and has long arms and legs. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot and stays on top of the ball well. His fastball was 79 mph and has obvious room to improve if he can incorporate more lower body. His 11-5 CB was 70 mph and his change-up had good sink at 70 mph. A potential two-way player as the ball jumps off his bat. He hits 2 HR's in batting practice and makes consistent hard contact. One of the top 2006 players in the northeast with tremendous projectability. Trygg is a very good student.
