2004 Midwest Top Prospect Showcase
T.J. Clark is a 2006 shortstop from Plymouth, Iowa, with a 5'11", 165 lb. frame. Defensively Clark showed solid footwork and hands that should allow him to play either middle infield position. He also showed plus range to his glove side. He swings with above average bat speed and a good bat path. Clark is a contact hitter that is projectable with the bat. Clark is a tough player. He took an 85 mph fastball in the back, then he stayed in on the next pitch and hit a hard groundball, and ran hard through the bag. He looks to be a competitor who plays hard and he's an excellent student.
