Thomas Valenza is a 2008 OF/P with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Scottsdale AZ, who attends Horizon Scottsdale. Thomas has a young body with a lean build. Thomas has arm strength and the ball comes out of his hand well. He gets excellent jumps and reads in the outfield and has good actions. At the plate, Thomas is quiet in the box and uses a no load approach. He has a short swing path with a line drive swing plane. Thomas has the ability to hit the ball to all fields on a consistent basis. He is an aggressive hitter and has bat speed. Thomas pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. Thomas gets good armside run on his fastball and throws strikes. Thomas is a scrappy player and and is an outstanding student.
