Corey Treyes is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from West Covina, CA who attends Norco HS. Medium athletic build with good present strength. 7.45 runner, very soft hands and balanced actions defensively, gets rid of the ball quickly and makes strong accurate throws, has very good infield actions, will have to improve foot speed/quickness to remain at shortstop. Switch hitter, tall open stance both ways, exaggerated inside approach, has some hand quickness and the strength to hit but too focused on hitting mechanics instead of hitting the ball hard, bat speed pretty equal both sides of the plate. Also pitched and has two way potential. Mid-80's fastball from a high 3/4's arm slot, good sinking action, tight curveball spin with good 12/6 downer depth, threw strikes and had a very quick inning.
