Andrew Donovan is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Horizon HS. Tall lanky build, lots of room to get stronger, good physical projection. Right handed hitter, spread stance, short swing and path to the ball, has some hand quickness, hits under control with good balance, showed the ability to get the ball to the gaps, hits to all fields, has some projection offensively. Third base look and profile defensively, two handed fielder, quick release, developing arm strength. Also pitched, short stride, over the top arm slot, simple mechanics, works from the stretch. Steady mid-70's fastball, good running action when down in the zone, tended to pitch up too often. Soft cast curveball with some downer shape, some feel for his change up, mixes his pitches and throws strikes. Good student.
