Tri Nix is a 2015 OF/C/RHP with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Lanett, AL who attends Springwood HS. Smaller build, very young. Square stance away from the plate, drifts into contact, long backside to swing, line drive plane, hits to the opposite field, will need to shorten up as the level of pitching improves. 7.54 runner, moves through the ball well in the outfield, good footwork, some developing arm strength for his age. Also pitched, solid repeatable pitching mechanics, some effort at release, threw strikes, fastball topped out at 72 mph, good feel for his curveball, good 2-plane break. Very good student.
