Grant Livornese is a 2013 1B/3B/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Manhattan Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa HS. Medium build, present strength. Tall stance, pre-load stride and approach, rotational swing, upper cut swing plane, needs to attack more aggressively. 7.39 runner, clean outfield actions, plays under control, shows some arm strength, can quicken release. Also pitched, works from the stretch, basic leg raise mechanics, low effort release, throws downhill, high 3/4's slot. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, good curveball spin with downer shape and some bite. Good student.
