Tyler Allen is a 2012 RHP/SS with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Yonkers, NY who attends Lincoln. Lean, wiry build with athleticism and room to fill. Free and easy arm action with a simple, balanced delivery on the mound. Has very good pace and rhythm. Throws from 3/4 slot and is a quick worker with good command. Fastball sat high 70s and topped at 80. Pitch showed arm side run. Curveball with 10/4 break at 69 has tight spin and flashes downer depth. Slider at 71 has sharper break with a more horizontal break. Changeup is developing #4 pitch with solid arm action. Line drive swing at the plate with a repeatable swing path. Will benefit from additional physical strength. Good student.
