Nick Volpe is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Norwell, MA who attends Norwell. Big strong build. Throws from H 3/4 slot. Medium kick, short arm action, stays balanced throughout delivery. Fastball sat high 70s and showed sink. Able to throw strikes with fastball and 71 mph curveball with rolling 11/5 break. Showed strength and power potential at the plate. Pull approach with good leverage and extension. Squared the ball up and showed quickness in his bat. Good exit velos and sound. Good student.
