2005 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Seth Henderson is a 2006 catcher/infielder from Hiram High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, with a 5'9'', 170 lb. frame. Henderson is a lean and athletic player with a strong arm behind the plate. His 78 mph throws to second base were online and accurate, and he threw out runners attempting to steal in the showcase games. Showed nice footwork on his throws and blocking balls in the dirt. Henderson has soft hands and receives well. Offensively he is a right handed hitter who hits from an upright stance with a short stride and a no load approach. Henderson stays balanced in his swing, and shows solid bat speed and a line drive swing plane. He is a good contact hitter who made a high percentage of hard contact swings. He is also a very good student as well.
