Avery Geyer is a 2013 RHP/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Navarre, FL who attends Pensacola Catholic HS. Strong well put together build. Well paced cross body delivery, extended arm action with 3/4's release point, good arm speed, arm works well out front. Fastball to 87 mph, heavy fastball with some sink, commands FB well. Hard curveball with good spin, hard biting action at times, commands CB very well. Developing change up, tends to slow arm and tip. Mixes it up, good pitchability, works ahead and attacks. Solid outfield actions, works through the ball well, strong arm with accurate on line carry, stays balanced and athletic well. Right handed hitter, rotational swing, swings hard, looks to lift, flashes some pull power. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
