Ryan Jennings is a 2007 SS/3B from Alexander High School in Douglasville, Georgia, with a 6'2'', 170 lb. frame. He is a tall, lean, and athletic player with very good speed. His sixty time 6.88) was one of the best at the event and he showed that speed and quickness on defense as well as the bases. Defensively he has good actions with soft hands and quick feet. He is smooth in the middle of the diamond and makes things look easy. His arm might project more at second base at the next level, but he has a quick transfer and release that help. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with an open stance and a very low hand set. Jennings shows bat speed with hand strength and a line drive swing plane. He likes the ball on the inner third and wants to turn on the ball. Jennings is a contact hitter who can make things happen at the top of the order with his speed and base running skills. He is also a very good student.
