Rory Sullivan is a 2007 C/1B with a 6'2'', 220 lb. frame from Rancho Santa Fe, CA, who attends Santa Fe Christian HS. Sullivan has a great frame with present strength. Defensively he works well behind the plate with good accuracy on his throws. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance. He takes an aggressive swing showing plus bat speed through the zone. Sullivan really looks to crush the ball on the inner half and doesn't get cheated with his swings. The ball jumps off his bat when it is centered and he shows projectable raw power. Sullivan gets good extension to his swing with a slight uppercut swing plane. He still showed the ability to hit to the opposite field, despite his aggressive pull approach. Sullivan is a very good student as well and should be followed closely.
