Brayden Blackwell is a 2011 MIF/3B with a 6-0 188 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Coronado HS. Strong athletic build, square shoulders. Smooth defensive actions, reads hops well, moves well laterally, throws have some carry, 3B likely future position, might be interesting to see as catcher, 7.18 runner. Simple swing from balanced stance, very strong hands, quick level swing, shows bat speed, showed power in batting practice, squares up in game conditions. Solid all around player. Excellent student.
