2004 National Underclass Dec 28-30
Reese is a senior middle infielder from Orlando and one of the few 2005 players at the National Underclass. He’s a mature skilled player who profiles best at second base. Defensively, Reese has good quickness and shows some arm strength but his release and ball exchange are better suited to second right now. At the plate, Reese has a short, controlled swing from a no load/wide stance approach and consistently showed the ability to hit line drives to all fields. Once on base, Reese showed above average base running instincts and was a hustling type of player. Reese also threw 2 innings out of the bullpen in Fort Myers. He throws from an over the top release point with a long arm action. Reese’s fastball was in the 79-81 mph range and he threw a 69 mph curveball and 70 mph change up. Reese is a good student.
