John Jakubik is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Missouri City, TX who attends Ridge Point. Long lanky frame, lean projectable build. Pitches from a high three quarter arm slot, online delivery, medium length to arm action, solid arm speed. Tight spin on 11-5 curveball with good shape, changeup has good late sinking action. Projectable pitcher, still growing into body and should be able to repeat his delivery more consistently as he does. At the plate he showed ability to use the opposite field well and gets leverage in his swing with good use of his lower half. Big target at 1B and can stretch a long way for the ball on close plays. Good student.
