Richard Phelps -- Phelps is a junior outfielder from Florida with a strong 6-1 frame and the chance to get even stronger. He is a switch-hitter who we like much better from the right side of the plate. From the right side Phelps shows a much more polished and balanced approach with more bat speed and loft power potential. It’s a nice swing that translates well to the college level. Phelps makes consistent contact from the left side but doesn’t have the same juice in his bat. Phelps is a good athlete who moves very well and appears to know how to play the game.
