Shane Dawson is a 2011 LHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Drayton Valley, AB who attends Frank Maddock. Dawson has a lean athletic build with room for continued size and strength gains. He works from a 3/4 arm slot on the mound showing a simple balanced delivery that he repeats, and uses a a high leg kick that adds deception to his stuff. Average effort to arm and it works loose, gets armside run on fastball. Curveball breaks 1-7 and shows feel for the pitch. Arm also plays in the outfield, aggressive to the ball and gets body into throws. Straight away stance at the plate, and hits with a lift and replace style.
