Sterling Kiper is a 2011 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Amarillo, TX who attends Bushland HS. Well proportioned athletic build, good present strength. Fast paced delivery, compact arm action, low elbow, stays tall at release. Deceptively quick fastball, topped at 84 mph but jumps on hitters, good running action at times, sweeping curveball, some depth, good feel for locating curveball, rare change up. Shows athleticism and position tools, 6.83 runner, good arm strength both IF and OF, infield throws carry well, good footwork to the ball, soft hands. Right handed hitter, strong wrists, tends to drift into contact, some RCF lift, hitting potential with strength. Good student.
