Pete Hotard is a 5'9" right handed pitcher from Missouri who showed a nice feel for pitching and good stuff. He has strong legs and hips that he uses well in his delivery to provide power. Hotard’s mechanics are very fundamentally solid and repeatable. His fastball was 80-83 mph with some good sinking and running life. He threw both a 66-67 mph curveball and 72 mph slider and both had some good spin and bite to them. He also dropped in a 74 mph sinking change up. Hotard is maximizing his ability and has a sound ability to mix and command his pitches. There’s definitely a place for him at a good college level.
