C.J. (Christian) Martin is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from St Louis, MO who attends Oakville Senior HS. Big strong physical build. Rotational leg kick delivery, some drop and drive to the plate, extended 3/4's to mid 3/4's release point, lands open, has some deception. Steady upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph, heavy fastball with consistent run/sink when low in the zone. Good arm speed on change up, good feel and ability to work it down in the zone. Tends to slow arm on slider, shorter break, needs more power on slider. Right handed hitter, strong aggressive swing, looking to pull and lift, has bat speed and good extension, off balance at times but ball jumps when squared. Signed with Eastern Illinois
